The article “Nothing is More Important than Thinking Dialectically” by Grace Lee Boggs discusses the struggles among the ethnic minorities and how they are interconnected. An interesting part regarding the issue faced by minority groups is that folks don’t necessarily understand how important it is to stand among other community groups when one community is struggling. There are preconceived notions within minority groups that make it less likely for them to band together against the social injustices facing their communities. However, it's an important step to forward the movement of equality. For example, during the #BlackLivesMatter campaign, a group of UCD students came out to show unity with the community. It is necessary to reinforce the idea that black lives are valuable because this recognition is important to combat racism in the US. #BlackLivesMatter is an issue that affects the whole minority because the struggles minority groups face against systematic oppression are similar. By standing together, we have the numbers to fight for the justice we deserve as people. However, it's difficult to be able to get folks to support these pressing issues.

Question: How can we bring to the forefront these issues facing minorities and how can we get folks to understand that their voices are needed in order to fight the inequality we're facing?
