Week 9_Skye Jin_A01
This week's reading "Barack Obama as the post-racial candidate for a post-racial America: perspectives from Asian America and Hawai‘i" mainly talks about how different groups thinking of Obama that being the president of the USA in 2008, which had a huge influence on Asian American. Normally, most of the content was related to "post-racial." In my opinion, this election symbolized a fight of racial discrimination. However, I do not disagree with that it was related to "colorblindness". Instead, the reason for being the president was more based on his self-achievements. At last, here comes to my question: Did Barack Obama do anything that helps Asian Americans to gain equal rights?
