Monolingualism with Asian Americans
Description: More and more Asian Americans nowadays do not speak or barely speak their native language, gradually becoming monolingual. However, this tendency will greatly affect Asian Americans’ self-identification in that by speaking less and less of their native language, the knowledge of their culture and heritage may also begin to disappear. We should all be aware of this monolingualization problem.
