  1. What is your SAPSA about?
    1. Our Social Awareness Public Service Announcement (SAPSA) is about the effects of having an institution or university sponsor a student program. We wanted to explore what possible changes do these programs undergo. We did a case study on a student run program at UC Davis, Southeast Asians Furthering Education (SAFE), by interviewing past and present staff members and a student research regarding the idea.
  2. Who is your intended audience?
    1. Our intended audience is for student programs or any programs, in fact, that have an opportunity to have some sort of institution sponsor their program.
  3. Did you accomplish what you set out to do?
    1. We intended to verify whether or not, SAFE had full autonomy over their programing due to they fact that they are institutionally sponsored. We also wanted to see if the benefits or consequences, if any, of having a institutionally sponsored program was worth it.
  4. What were the challenges?
    1. We faced challenges in securing interviews. One of our interviewees was a UC Davis alum who currently resides in San Diego and scheduling that interview posed a difficult challenge.
  5. What would you have done differently?
    1. Given the maximum time allowed for the SAPSA video, we would have preferred a longer time limit just due to the idea that we were only able to scratch the surface of our topic. Introducing another concept after what we have included would most definitely have put us over the allowed time.
  6. What is the future of your SAPSA?
    1. It is just a starting point for programs to see whether or not an institution will inhibit any sort of autonomy that is present. It is a case by case basis just due to the different nature of each institution.
