Our group decided to choose Whitewashing in Hollywood as the topic for our SAPSA project. Whitewashing is the phenomenon in Hollywood, where white actors are cast as non-white characters such as black, Asian, Hispanic, and so on. Therefore, this topic is our strength because it’s quite unique. In addition, our video also reflects alarming problems in Hollywood nowadays such as racism and unfairness. Besides, there are many useful sources that will help us to convey our clear pictures. However, when we carried out our project, we encountered many shortcomings. For example, there are a lot of sources that we don’t know which ones to use for our video. Moreover, we also decided to use our own recordings for the project, and some of them may overextend the time limit. For the final draft, we need to be careful in choosing appropriate sources and also try to make our recordings shorter. Likewise, we also need to put the titles between every part. For instance, we need to place transitions between the introduction, reasons behind, and solutions. Furthermore, since this is our very first draft, we didn’t really include any sources or reference. However, we will make sure that we fix these mistakes for our final project.
