Reading the article, “Berkeley Free Speech Movement: Paving the way for campus activism,” made me aware that racism does still exist. I never paid attention to the news, so reading this incident was something new to me. Is it really that hard to settle everyone in the University by saying or proving to them that they do not discriminate? This was just a University movement, but why did the police make it such a big deal? It is because they know that even though the population group that is doing the movement is a small portion, however, the message they are carrying is major. It is the message that is believed by people all other the world that is trying to make everything fair and to abolish discrimination. The police are arresting people to try to back off their belief and to try to have them stop their movements voluntarily. However, the police’s action did not scare them off and it did not push people’s belief of abolishing segregation and racism down, it only made the people more frustrated. People risk their lives and future into this movement and having the police warning and arresting one after another. Finally, due to everyone’s determination to stop racism, the movement was a success.

Question: What race was included in the movement?
