Reflection
of “The USA Patriot Act A Sketch”
In
the report, Charles Doyle explained even though USA PATRIOT Act functions well
in responding to the terrorists’ attack by helping criminal investigations,
easing restrictions on foreign intelligence, monitoring money laundering and so
on , it, just like many other laws, caused some concerning consequences such as
new crime and new procedural efficiencies. It seems Doyle is objective to the
influence of PATRIOT Act, but he stressed the bad effect. In my opinion, any
law is not perfect, and we cannot denying Patriot Act’s initial good purposes
because of the concerning potential consequences. The most important thing is
how the government modifies it to sharp a peaceful better future without
terrorism. The question I have is how to change it if the PATRIOT Act does not
go far enough.
