Section: 2
Week 6

In this week's reading "ASNE Memo on the Patriot Act II," it really influenced me to challenge our government systems and the policies made in our system that is suppose to protect our security. Although a topic that is in the greay area, I feel that in return of getting protected, we are all losing a part of our freedom. I do appreciate the fact that certain actions like this would need to go through a certain procedure to be viewed as "necessary." What I take away from this is that we really can't trust the government. We need to realize that our privacy is never actually private. Our traces can be revealed by the government and even sites like Google can dig down to our search histories. We need to be aware of things like this and hopefully in turn realize that anything we associate with can really effect us. What measures determine whether an act or not should be deemed necessary.
