In the article “Creating Identity, Defining cultural, and Making History from an Art Exhibit:’Unfinished Story: A Tribute to my Mother’”. Author mentioned that in Vietnamese American communities, many people have the view of anti-communism. They considered communism as a wrong ideal and should not exist. In my opinion , since most of them are offspring of the refugees in Vietnam War, it can be understood that they felt so disappointed about the communism and want to against it. However, what surprised me is that many Vietnamese American marked some Vietnamese Americans who come back to visit their families or contact people who live in Vietnam as traitorous and label them as ”communist”. This is obvious a kind of discrimination and should be prohibited. What’s more, even though these Vietnam American are not anti-communism, people should still treat them equally and give them deserved rights because everyone have freedom to choose their beliefs.
