In the infographic “Race Still Matters”, it debunks the
Model Minority Myth. The Model Minority basically says that Asians worked so
hard and they got through their struggles via hard work and studying. The infographic showcases that even though
people think that Asian Americans are smarter than average and make up a
majority of the college population, that Asian Americans actually don’t have
the same resources available to them.
Another fact is that Asians make up a larger population of adults who do
not have a high school diploma. I found
this infographic to be interesting because it shows that even though people think
that all Asian Americans take on higher education, the statistics show that
Asian Americans don’t have as much or even a an advantage over other minorities.
Why does the Model Minority myth have an impact on higher
education?
