After reading the article on “Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in California: How higher education diversity benefits our communities,” I realize that Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community is the fastest-growing ethnic group in America. It is no surprise that AAPI is the leading racial group in the U.S., especially in California. Many Asian families immigrate to the U.S. in hope for a higher education and brighter future for their children. However, they do not receive the same educational privileges and rights as other racial groups. Though I have not experienced the educational disadvantages that many Asians have. I hope that our educational system will improve so that everyone is accessible to an education they deserve.
