Building Towards the Future

In response to: "Nothing Is More Important than Thinking Dialectically" by Grace Lee Boggs

In "Nothing Is More Important than Thinking Dialectically" the important idea conveyed to me was that recognizing movement in the past isn't necessarily going to build the future. This gave me more insight into the idea's behind fighting oppression for the present and future. Just because a movement occurs that is progressive does not mean that the those who were oppressed were solely victims prior to that movement. The people who were oppressed during this movement should be seen as people who were capable of sparking new movements to fixing injustices. However, just because they should be seen themselves as capable of sparking movements does not mean that the oppression should be forgotten. The idea isn't to forget the past, but to understand and use the past as inspiration to make changes for the future.

Questions:
- How will injustices of the past affect and inspire people for the future?
