Response to: Empire of Death and the Plague of Civic Violence

Wow. This article really hit me hard. Just reading about the collections of serial killers throughout our recent history left an unsettling feeling inside me. It's so hard to wrap my head around how twisted and insidious people can be. I can definitely see the allusion the reader is making in the connection between the glorification of war as a cause of violence in the US. I feel so bad for all of the innocent victims that had to suffer these cruelties. I just feel so disgusted with their depravity. This article really just cements in my mind that war is terrible. It causes so much pain and suffering. Is it really worth it? Furthermore, this reminded me of the numerous drone strikes that our country executes in the middle east. It's the new form of killings that, while intended to kill terrorists, actually kill a lot of innocent civilians.

What steps can we take, or is it even possible, to reduce mass killings from happening?
